What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?
Improved stability
Improved balance
Improved mobility
Improved coordination
Reduced pain
Postural awareness
Prevention & rehabilitation of injuries
Pilates equipment is designed to be able to either assist or challenge you during your workout, it can meet everyone’s needs.
The reformer is one of the original pieces of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates, the man who invented the Pilates method its moving carriage and variable spring settings create a lot of opportunities to challenge the body whilst performing movements on the unstable surface of the carriage this provides a great opportunity to strengthen and stabilise the body’s deep muscles. These types of exercises also promote better balance and coordination.
Another important feature of the reformer, are the straps which help improve mobility, flexibility and range of motion, whilst developing muscular strength
By adjusting the spring tension, the reformer can be made to work for everyone. This includes beginners, pregnant people and can help prevent injuries and rehabilitation .
Welcome induction session (These are included when you book your first course)
So that we maintain the high quality of our sessions, an welcome induction or taster is essential. This is so that we can support you properly and ensure that you can reach your health and fitness goals and exercise safely in our group sessions .
Taster session is a one off 45 minute private reformer session or welcome meeting £50. After this you can join one of our courses (subject to availability) or if you have more specific goals or require more guidance 1:1 sessions may be recommended. If you are new to Reformers it also ensures you are a bit more familiar with the equipment before joining a class.
Beginners & intermediate’ courses
All our classes are semi private small groups with a maximum of 3 other people, they run as a block of sessions. This encourages continuity and swifter progression within a familiar supportive group, if you have a group of friends that would all like to work out together, why not get in touch and ask about a private booking as a group. When you book a course, you are committing to a set number of sessions on the same day and time each week. Our sessions are small and personal to make them more enjoyable and ensure we can guide you effectively towards your personal goals. All new course members are invited to a free welcome session before the course starts.
Group classes are not for everyone, if you have a specific goal, injury, or something that requires you to work at your own pace then 1:1 sessions may be recommended, we ask that all our users attend a welcome / induction before the courses commence so we can better support you.
If you can’t see a course at a time drop us an email and we will see what we can do!
